Dear Marry,

You ARE a ham sandwich.

You can be “not a turkey sandwich,” or “not a roast beef sandwich,” and even “not a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.” But there is only one “not a ham sandwich” and that is our Summer.

So take that stolen blog name and return it to the person who owns it; who earned respect, admiration, and love for writing under this very original title.

Render unto Summer the things which are Summer’s.

Don’t be petty; don’t be a thief, Marry.

Or burn.

Yours truly

After reading this post, and then searching for 'not a ham sandwich' and looking deeply at the results, I'm sure that there's a story behind this. Tale of the blog snatchers, perhaps? I'm curious to find out more.

Kimananda - I'm not sure I know all the facts, but apparently Summer shut down her blog -- notahamsandwich.blogspot.com -- rethought her act, went to recover it and within only a few hours, someone had taken her title.

Summer is pretty well known in blogland. My assumption is that someone somehow saw that this title was now up for grabs and jumped on the opportunity to use Summer's popular name to get readers.

I hope I'm not misrepresenting the facts here...I read about the situation on mindfulthings.blogspot.com yesterday.

I certainly hope she can get her name back.

Thanks for the link! After reading it, your post makes much more sense. What a sad pathetic thing to do, steal someone's blog. :-(

I can't imagine how Summer feels - one emotionally bonds with their blog title and their blog- plus she was nominated for awards under that title... ugh

I would feel violated and the person that did this, is a loser that she's had to glom onto someone else....how deeply UN-original!

AMK - I wonder if the usurper is going to use it as a commercial blog to sell weight loss pills etc.? There's only been one post so far and its on weight loss...

Doc - I sure hope she does, and if she does, I hope she uses: Not Not a Ham Sandwich...I like it!

Lawbrat - Karma is a bitch...we'll just have to watch and see what happens now I guess...come back Summer!!!
