I should get rid of the old 70s lamp that is ubiquitous in every old 70s restaurant but for some reason I like the damn thing. Maybe because it has a bird on it; maybe because it's colorful.

Those big black speakers in the corner - not negotiable they will stay forever if I have my way. They were a great bargain and have the best sound of any speakers I've ever heard. I have two sets of them: one set in the living room and one in the dining room and the high notes are freaking amazing. The room would look better without them but I can't entertain the though of losing them.

Let's see if blogger will let me upload another shot here: No it would not...put me in some kind of a loop but I do have one more photo I hope I can post for my new friend Scotty. I'll try that one on another post.

HA!

Looks like someone is having fun with their camera!

I just threw up some new shots myself, of our fall nature walk (and a few other things), which you can get via my blog @ www.lostinthought.ca

Hope all is well, and that you continue to enjoy the picture taking...

PS: Thanks for sharing all the pictures... Nice to see Cartoon Mary too - cigar and all!

You and my husband with the speakers! He's a freak for speakers, placement, sound, etc. We've got a duplicate pair of Rogers but the 2nd set is in boxes because they are too big upstairs. He's saving the 2nd pair in case the first pair blows or something. Whenever we've moved into a new place, the first thing he talks about and concerns himself with is where those damn speakers will go!

JDJ - I actually took a few hours off from my photographing today...with any luck, this whole picture craziness will end abruptly and I'll go back to normal Mary again.

AMK - I just refuse to replace these speakers...I know they make small white Bose speakers for example that are supposed to be wonderful, but nothing sounds like these babies which is why we still have huge speakers when the rest of the world has little tiny ones.

I agree with Marko. I love the lamp too and the fact you have the Cafe sign, must feel like you're dining out everytime. Very nice. I might just "steal" a few decorating ideas here. Hehehe, will give you total credit, of course.

Oh boy, I'm getting votes for the old lamp! My husband loves it too, Along. He probably likes not buying another one!

Along, my decorating is using the crap other people throw out...!!
