My bed is very old.

I found it behind a barn in New Hampshire where it lay in the grass, rusted and unloved. We stripped it down and painted it with off-white Rustoleum paint. We polished the brass finials and made slats to support the mattress.

I love my bed with a passion and it is one material possession I could never part with.

I often wonder if someone gave birth between the ancient headboard and footboard. Did someone die between the iron curlicues.

I paid $18 for my bed, and it was a bargain.

I like the sepia tone on my blog background...maybe I should just do sepia tones from now on.

LOL - now remember... try not to get too used to one technique eventually you'll get bored with it. :) but it's fun to play with.

the bed is really cool! :) it's great to have those old memories in your house. It's great to have a story. . .

Ilanna, as you can see I already left sepia for "cartoon" effects! hahahahah

(I would think you'd love the cartoon version of the bed, since you have a cartoon avatar!)
