Gavin, you're on to something! And she's right, I am an aunt!

Apparently she feels that if you or anyone in your family has ever fought in a war, it is mandatory to display 'support our troop' magnets on your car or else you can leave america.

She's probably got a jesus fish on her car too.

Holy cow I just realized I'm assuming that the comment made by the ANON person is a female because the dreaded "C" word was used.
Why? Why would I do that? Hmmm.

Gavin, I did the same thing; made the assumption that anon was a female -- witness my Ann Coulter comment. Odd, as I reread it, I see gender is not determined but IQ is.

See - i usually find that it's males who use that C word in denegration of women. I personally *HATE* that word and avoid saying it at all costs.

As for the ribbons - I agree with the video -paying $2 to show off that you are supporting is ridiculous. Doesn't mean that the thought isn't there - just wish people would do more than spend $2 and sit on their apathetic asses and say 'well, I did my part. I bought a ribbon!'

I also really wish people would realize that supporting the troops and supporting the war are two completely different things, and that if you disagree with a ribbon you are *NOT* anti-america, anti-troops or anything. You are just anti-conformist and can actually think for yourself. (novel concept eh? )

Ilanna, I support our troops, I want them back in the US and away from the madness. Plus, they are fighting with the Blackwater mercenaries (who aren't counted in either troop count or deaths or injuries) and they don't have to follow US military rules.

The Blackwater boys (many from other countries and by the way, they are paid a US soldiers yearly salary in just one month making about $360,000 per year) and are just as dangerous as the nutso islamists so our young people are sandwiched between two extremist groups, christian and islam.

The cee word is not one I use but anon didn't make me blink either.

hahahha
