Clear Skies Act Coming our Way

I am blue, just as blue as I could be

Ev’ry day is a cloudy day for me.

Then Bush's Clear Skies Act came a-knocking at my door

Skies are grayer now and won't be clear anymore

Clear Skies Act

Laughing at me

Nothing but gray skies

Will we see.

Bluebirds

All are long gone

Nothing -no bluebirds

All day long

Never will the sun shine all day long

Never saw things going so wrong.

Noticing the days giving me asthma

When you’re so sick, docs give you plasma.

Blue skies

All of them gone

Nothing but gray skies

From now on

I should care if the wind blows east or west

When it blows east, breathing's some test.

Global warming - they say it's not true

Our planet is dying and we will be too

for...

Clear Skies Act

Coming our way

Air pollution is here to stay.

We really don't care about real air pollution do we? Don't we just care about smokers polluting the air? Isn't the hole in the ozone from smokers?

Of course. It's all George Bush's fault.

This is why you people keep losing elections.

Let's not forget sainted Ronald Reagan - he did one hell of a job shutting down the air pollution control industry.

He blamed pollution on trees, and I think another form of vegetation is doing his part to keep money in the rich man's coffers and coughers in the dark.

One more thing, I forgot my manners, thanks for stopping by Darren.

Also, we people won the last 3 out of 4 elections (one by popular vote only), and I wouldn't point to the last election as a landslide, especially for an incumbant whose daddy was also president and shares the same name.

You're welcome :-) Please feel free to come by my blog, RightOnTheLeftCoast.

Mary, if Hillary were ever to become President, will you be as dismissive of her (her husband was President, and had the same last name, so perhaps she didn't *really* earn it) as you are of President Bush?

Darren, If Hillary becomes president, I would certainly agree that being married to a president for 2 terms and having the last name Clinton would have been a huge benefit for her.

Although I find her an amazing woman in her own right and certainly up to the job, name recognition, exposure to the media and the advantages of having been first lady for 8 years would certainly be part of the reason she was elected.

She and Bush jr could have easily lived their lives without any political identity if it weren't for opportunities afforded them by their family connections-- their name.

That may sound dismissive but I think it's reality.

I can't even speculate what W would have done with his life, but I am very sure Hillary would have been extremely successful in her endeavors.

Whereas I agree with both of your points about advantages and opportunities, I think I have to give credit to people who make effective use of opportunities when they get them. Not everyone is able to do that.

Yes Irina, I agree with you...I believe that opportunity is around all of us, some people see it and some people don't.

I believe that you make your life happen...so don't sit by the phone waiting for it to ring..you call. Don't wait around for someone to make your day - you make your own day!

I think people spend way too much time worrying about what other people think of them. If they only knew how little other people think of them at all, they wouldn't worry so much!
