Let's have a show of hands.

Does anyone think that Anna Nicole wanted to be buried any place other than next to her son in the Bahamas?

Does anyone find it interesting that her mother Virgie only cries or gets confused when the question of "money" comes up?

Would you want that judge to preside over anything, anywhere at anytime that related to you?

Does anyone know on what channel his new The Comic Judge show will air?

How decomposed should a body be before being lowered into the dirt?

Anyone else investing in crematorium stock now?

(And remember this is just the beginning...there's the who gets the money; the who's the baby's father; the dig up Daniel and bring him back to Texas twist and what else lies ahead?)

You know, I am not going to pretend I don't subscribe to People magazine or that I don't read gossip blogs on a daily basis.

At the same time-is there a line anymore? Why are we more shocked over Britney's bald head, than we are over anything the administration does or the war?

Why is this idiot judge even entertaining the circus??? And why are we dragging it out. Take a week of your life, test the baby, send Anna to the Bahamas, and work out the estate. Sure, there are going to be complaints and appeals, blah blah blah. The longer we drag it out, the more it feeds the drama. Let it go already!!!

Sorry for the rant. I agree with your thoughts, though. In case you couldn't tell. :-)

Hey Marko...my thoughts exactly.

Hi Jeni angel and welcome! You're not ranting...you're feeling exactly the way a lot of people are feeling: the craziness has to be stopped.

"They" fed off that woman in life and now they're feeding off of her in death. Bury her I want to scream!!!!!

This reminds me a bit of the Teri Schiavo drama, best pardodied by South Park.

People should also better plan of rtheir funeral wishes. My own mother put it best that when she died, her kids would do something, because "her body will start to stink after a while." So what is the cheapest way to disposes of a carcass?

I do believ her mother is only cocnerned over her money..where do you think Anna got it from? I'm wondering if the estate of her step-son will arrange for something unfortunate to the little daughter. Of course it will be subtle.

Jeri Angel> Politics only interests a few of us. Britney or Anna Nicole Smith are more interesting to the general public.

Hi Thomas! We certainly are fascinated by the rich and famous, and they do not disappoint us either. They go out of their way to draw attention to themselves, then complain because they have the attention. In the mean time, they live in mansions with servants and spend money like water.

That judge has to go though...and your mom was right!

Cremation's the way to go and then split up the ashes and shut up the mourners!

ya know, yesterday i went to a funeral for a man. (my part time boss's husband.) He was 46 and died of a stroke. :( He wasn't famous. He didn't do outrageous things.

He was most known for driving down his street BLASTING James Brown from the car stereo.

But you know what? There had to be over 200 people at that funeral home yesterday. It was standing room only. They celebrated his life, and told stories about how caring and giving he was. His wife stood up and said, "I feel BLESSED, absolutely BLESSED that i had a man, this man, my honey, and he touched SO many lives, and brought joy to so many people, and to see how many people are here to remember him, I am just blessed." And she is right. And it was that kind of statement and that kind of service that kind of puts the whole celebrity and anna nicole crap into perspective. you wanna fight over money, that's your perogative, but let the woman REST people.

As for Brittany - I think she's trying to distract us all from how white trash she's become, and is only facilitating the image...

Oh and let's not forget the books that people will write over this whole courtroom "experience". It is interesting to see hopefully the truth unfold. My question is: how is the baby Dannielynn? It's obvious now that her mother took drugs while pregnant and it sounds like the entire time she was pregnant. What kind of effect has that had on the baby. I'm wondering if that's the reason she had to hide out in the Bahamas out of the spotlight. I hope that baby is ok. The whole thing is sad. Howard K. Stern looks like an enormous glommer. And your right, her mother is very unemotional until questioned on her profitting from her daughters death. If they let her dig up her Daniels body,,,, I think that is just wrong.
But if that judge gets anymore laid back they'll have to bring in a recliner and I imagine he probably is wearing sweats under that robe.
And Britney, white trash or not, she is a human being. I hope that she pulls out of the tailspin. I'm not a fan of her music or her but as a woman, a fellow human, I still hope the best for her.

I want to write yes, no, yes, no...meaning I agree with everyone on this subject.

I think about that mother saying to the judge (kook that he was) we didn't talk about viewing the body...we talked about lunch, then she chuckled...I can't imagine, as a mother, responding that way --

There is a reason Anna did not have a relationship with her mother and it wasn't just drugs.

I want to go on and on but I've given this subject way too much publicity for my ( small but loyal ) readers.

Britain is removing troops while we are surging. How many Americans have died while we pander to our low class news channels who cover the Anna Nicole crap but let our Americans die in anonymity?

For crissakes bury the decaying corpse and dig her up again if you need to, but geesh bury her!

Let's see and hear that much tv time and emotion for our troops who are mutilated or dead over a war that never should have been waged.

I'm sick of Anna Nicole's life or Britney's life depicted as more imortant and the 3000 plus lives of Americans or ten times that amount of Iraqis who died...

It is time to take responsibility for our mistakes and save lives now.

Get out of Iraq and never let any celebrities, good or bad, take the news away from Americans who are dying.

Geesh, that was a rant of major proportions, but I can't take it anymore.

Amen! I dont want that crazy judge anywhere near my legal issues!
That damn mother shows her ugly motivation more times than Paris Hilton flashes hers!
Thats so bullcrap about the body. Big deal. They did a crappy job embalmbing her. Perhaps formalin and methadone dont mix well? Ya know I'm pretty sure they bury decomposed bodies too. Or in this new republican world can you only bury the pretty corpses? I didnt get the memo.
You are correct this is the tip of a very ugly iceburg. No one will emerge from this with dignity.

Well, without putting too fine a point on it, I think the ship sailed on "dignity" a long, long time ago.

Dooce has an interesting and thoughtful take on Britney today. I almost feel bad for laughing at her. Almost.

Marko Gavin and Nilbo...great comments...I didn't realize it but there's a custody hearing going on today or discussion of paternity I guess is better...there will be no end to it all.

Nilbo, I'm a hard hearted Hannah. I don't think there is as many cases of post partum despression as there are nuts using it as an excuse to act nuts.

We all get fluctuating hormones (even men) so if we use hormones as an excuse for bizzare behavior then no one's responsible for anything.

One more thing on Anna NIcole..I do give her credit..I have not seen any photos of her getting out of a car and showing off her naked bottom. Hurray!

(What do you want to bet a photo of the dead Anna will appear on the scene?)

I've been waiting for the camera phone snapshot to "appear" . Lets hope Howard K Stern has a good camera on his phone. I wouldnt want the highest bidder to get a crappy picture.

You always talk about flashing your cootchie as if it's a bad thing. I don't get that. But then, I'm a guy.
