Super Duper Stupendous Tuesday is Coming

As Bradley said in comments, Hillary will be hounded and hunted if she gets the nomination. But, think of it this way, Ken Starr and millions of dollars were spent attempting to dig up dirt on the Clintons but he came away with nothing.

It's really funny to have a choice. Obama or Clinton? One will win-- and for me, I will be happy with either candidate.

Right now I continue to favor Hillary but want her to know, robo calls make people angry and more than one person said: If I get one more robo call from her camp I'm voting for Obama.

I wish someone who runs her campaign would read this blog and realize, at least in Connecticut, these calls make people crazy -- especially to people who've taken the time to sign up for the "no call" list.

Obama has sent out 3 pieces of campaign literature to my home, and I want to tell his camp that normally if you are trying to promote a candidate, you don't have a huge (and nice) picture of your opponent in your material. Especially when the picture (small) of Obama is not a good one. There's a shadow that runs over his face and onto his shirt. Awful picture.

Hillary, right now you have my vote but it's yours to lose if you keep on robo calling. Barack - if you get the nomination you will have my vote, but spiff up your campaign literature. Most people will never meet you in person so the mailings you send are one of ways we can judge your abilities. Get a graphic artist on board and a new photographer!!

What do you think, on the Republican side, do you think Pastor Huckabee has a wide stance? Just wondering....

What I'd really like to know is do those robo calls help? As soon as I hear that momentary dead silence when I pick up a phone, I hang up, knowing it is a robot calling.

Another gripe I have is once you have contributed to a campaign, why do they keep hitting you for more money on a daily basis? I'd accept monthly reminders, but daily email solicitations are too much!

I hope Huckabee has a wide stance and that it is productive and gives him much pleasure!

Let's do lunch on Wednesday next! Either way, it is very exciting!

I believe that the robo calls are what the old guard thinks is a new way of what they used to do: call people and ask for their vote. I can't imagine anyone being happy about getting one of those calls. I got 4 robos and one real person who I told: please tell your supervisor to tell their supervisor and on and on until you get to the top that people hate these calls. I also wrote to the Hillary for President campaign on their website asking them to cease and desist..desist..is that a word?

Huckabee doesn't stand a chance. I'm convinced that, some last-minute campaign disaster aside, McCain is going to get the nomination.

Hi Irina -- who is your candidate of choice? I can't wait for Tuesday to be over and then the interparty squabbling should be over and the candidates should be obvious at that point...I think.

I was for Giuliani, but now that he's out I've officially endorsed McCain!

yes desist is a word. :)

as for candidates - i hate robocalls too. Got a live call yesterday for a political poll but wasn't in the mood to deal with it to be honest.

Robo calls though are the fastest way to turn me off. Unfortunately though, just about every one uses them so it ends up being a wash as a strike against a candidate. I have noticed less Obama ads than Billary around here - but then again, DE is small so they probably don't want to spend too much $$ here (sadly.)

Our wonderful system - designed to be more fair to the more sparsely populated states ends up being distinctly unfair to other areas instead . . .

Hi Irina...I think McCain is a shoe in for the nomination. I wonder who he'll pick for his veep? Rudy?

Hi Ilanna, how are you feeling?? I've gotten mail from Obama but none from Hillary...only those hideous calls that make me nuts.

I"m feeling nauseous but otherwise ok - thanks for asking! :)

I haven't seen ANY mailers for any candidates yet to be honest. Only got the one opinion poll phone call. Like I said - Delaware tends to be somewhat ignored until the main presidential race. Of course - it could ALSO be that I'm a registered Independent and can't vote in the primary, so why waste their breath on someone who can't vote. :) yeah - that makes more sense - (baby brain :) )

Excellent post...for political junkies like me Super Tuesday is like the super bowl for football fanatics...(I am more of a baseball fanatic)

Anyway...

I think with the democratic delegate make-up...we won't know for a while whether it will be Hillary or Barack...

But on the Republican side, with their "winner take all" delegate structure, we probably will have a clear cut answer on that side...

I would love if Huckabee or Romney won the nomination...Mccain is too moderate (other than the war) and will draw independent votes away from either Barack or Hillary.

Just my two cents.

Ilanna, take care of yourself - lots of Saltines and ice chips!!!!!

That's true, I'm a registered Dem so that's why I get so many calls...

Bradley, I didn't take you for a Huckabee type of guy but then again, the pollsters and the media go crazy telling us who is going to vote for whom but they really don't know.
