One of the greatest feelings in the world is when I have a pile of books and DVDs waiting for me to read or watch. A glut - I love it.

I also love super-sized jars of pickles or olives; large plastic containers filled with pretzel sticks or chocolate chip cookies. Love the large sizes of just about anything. It makes me feel rich. So does buying 10 pounds of potatoes rather than five -- how extravagant!

Not sure why I felt the need to share this, but probably because I want to stop by and say hello but I have nothing much to say.

What I do have is tons of housework so rather than bore you about my fetish for things large ;-) I will grab my handy dandy Ostrich-feather duster and earn my keep. TTFN

Pickles, indeed. Have you ever been to the Iowa State Fair? (I'm sure Marko has)

They have pickles the size of your forearm.

On a STICK!

I am the opposite. I enjoy (probably too much) squeezing my food into containers that are *just right*. I have like 10 pieces of plasticware that hold less than 1 cup. I think I'd do well in a 1950s kitchen.

Me too Marko, and my husband makes Jewish Garlic dills that are superb! Lucky me..xooxxo

Wenig, Nope I have never been to Iowa but I wish I had...a pickle on a stick a picksickle? oh la la sounds marvelous. But I have to say, tonight I dined on "home made" saw the last ones being done - ravioli...oh oh oh so damned good.

Hanni? Is it you? My dear Hanni so nice to know you are okay, happy healthy I hope, etcetera etcetera etcetera (Can you tell I watched the King and I last night?)

I do know the container food squeezing joy...every night when I pack up the leftovers, I try to find the smallest Zip lock container I own to put it in...salad is fun...you can squish it down to almost nothing.

Marko, Wenig and Hanni, I feel like this a reunion of sorts...ole such a fine day!!

On behalf of most men, let me just say that just because it's large, it doesn't necessarily lead to enjoyment. Too much of a good thing, dontchaknow. We discourage women from having fetishes for things just large.

That said, I do love when the house is empty for the week and I can break out entire seasons of TV programs and gorge myself. This past week - home alone with everyone in Cuba, I read two books and watched DVDs for HOURS.

Heaven.
