One of the reasons why we must elect a female president is to avoid sex scandals. Ever hear of Gold Meir, Margaret Thatcher or Corazon Aquino hiring call boys? No way.

What is it with men that they would risk everything in the world for some new stuff? And, the new stuff doesn't have to be better looking than the old stuff, it just has to be new stuff.

Must be some biological imperative is all I can think. The animal brain is still telling them to spread their seed all over the land. (Truly the thought of thousands of little buggers who looked like Spitzer would not be a pleasant thought.)

The most intelligent men can act like fools when it comes to Willy, the one-eyed wiggly worm. I have said for years that the male appendage should be attached by Velcro. No need for it to go to work or business trips or even sporting events --it could stay safely in the wife's top drawer until he returns home. Sure would solve a lot of problems.

-------------------------

I've always thought that if women would support, love and trust women, the world would be a better place. But that isn't the case. I guess the biological imperative pops up its ugly head in women by the fear that another woman is going to take the man away (or the job, or the friends, or the title of best brownie maker). This causes women to doubt, mistrust and turn against other women which is why people say women are their own worst enemies.

As you can see in the voting, blacks are overwhelmingly supporting Obama while women are not overwhelmingly supporting Hillary. (Nor are whites overwhelmingly supporting white candidates.) But if this is ever mentioned it's called race baiting or playing the race card. Hey, come on...the facts are there primary after primary.

Now if women got behind Hillary she'd win hands down. We would not have to worry about her transporting boys across state lines for immoral purposes. We would not wonder how long she'd hold off from adoring, sexy, out-to-bed-her men.

Obama as attractive as he is will be inundated with gorgeous women falling at his feet and promising him just about anything he ever fantasized about. Kristen will probably call him up and offer a freebie.

How long can an owner of Willy, the one-eyed wiggly worm keep him tucked in neatly behind worsted trousers before the little guy just has to burst onto the scene causing one?

That's what I want to know.

Don't we have to worry about women though?? I mean, all of the teachers having sex with their students - most of them are women. Just because we haven't seen a polician with her own sex scandal doesn't mean there hasn't been one. (they are just smarter about it I think.) To make a sweeping gender based statement like that - especially when it comes to electing someone to such an important position can be *VERY* dangerous. There are too many people in this country who will elect someone simply because they are black, or because they are a woman, or because they don't think they'll cheat on their spouse then for their qualifications - whichEVER candidate your support. :) (not trying to be obnoxious here which is hard to tell in text sometimes, just playing the other side of the argument :) )

To be honest - I think one of the reasons we have so many sex scandals with politicians is *NOT* because they are MALE, but because of the type of man who usually seeks out that kind of power is frequently the type to get corrupted. But again - you have spitzer, you had clinton, and various other scandals - but TRUTHFULLY - what percentage of male politicians do they really fill? There are *SO* many out there who are faithful and seek power to do something good with their office. We just see a lot more of it because of our 24 hour new cycles. Rockefellar did the same things - no one cared back then. And personally (as someone who thinks prostitution should be legalized and regulated) I'm glad to see he paid for it rather than being with someone who may have been seeking other kinds of more dangerous payments....

Ah Mary m'dear :). History has shown many women in power with sexual scandals, Elizabeth I, Cleopatra, Catherine the Great ... and in modern day, probably more than we know about since women tend to be more discreet. Personally I feel that people with that kind of power do have strong sexual sides, male or female, and I would prefer that person be satisfied in bed rather than seeking that satisfaction with a nuke.

If I were to vote for a female only because of concern about sexual exploits then that would be a poor reason to vote for her IMO. Our problem in this country is that we are too hung up on a bodily function - so Spitzer screwed around with a Pro, that's a problem for him and his family, not me. And as Ilanna says, I too feel prostitution should be legalized. As you note, at least with a Pro we can be assured there wouldn't be thousands of little Spitzer clones running around ;).

I also think supporting only our "own kind" is a dangerous concept. Yes it does happen, and certainly the human tendency is to vote and hang with those with whom we have commonality keeping us closer to our comfort zone.

When voting for someone who will be making policy, their opinions, track record, concepts, plans, ability to work and play well with others, are so much more important than their relationship to who/what I am. In all honesty I am not looking for moral fiber here, I'm looking for vision, desire to do what's good for the country, ability to accomplish those concepts and goals. And if their Willy gets wonked in the process? Y'know it's the cost of doing business. FWIW ;).

HI Ilanna -- Long time no see EC!

Most of my blog was tongue in cheek - but there is an underlying truth of course which for me is how can race not be a factor in a presidential candidate when it is a factor as in blacks overwhelmingly voting for Obama? 9 out of 10 - certainly that's voting on skin color.

I guess, as a member of a minority that's actually a majority, I'm on one hand jealous that women aren't doing the same...but on the other hand, really wishing that the blacks were splitting their votes and the whites were splitting their votes and everyone was voting not on race nor gender but simply attempting tto elect the best person for the office.

I was not kidding though when I said I think Willy should be attached by Velcro and stay at home rather than go to work or on business trips! ;-)

As for sex scandals, hell I doubt there's been too many people in power who haven't messed around. Think of Eisenhower, Roosevelt even Thomas Jefferson was getting busy!

Guess what? I also think prostitution should be legal and drugs...These two things will never go away so why not legalize them? It would get rid of lots of criminal elements and women would be getting bouquets of flowers on a regular basis!

Hey Mary... :) Nice to be back! I am not surprised that yours was tongue in cheek nor that you were serious about leaving willy in the drawer :) . . .and you won't find me arguing about either :). The simple fact is sex and power go together - it's when you do something illegal that it's a problem. Personally I think they are reaching on Spitzer since paying her transport etc. across state lines was part of her nightly perks not what the Mann act was supposed to protect. But he put away some powerful people, and he's a democrat so you know lots are out to get him - sad, eh?

Why aren't we worrying more about the Kellogg Brown and Root charged the Pentagon 10 times more than they should for towels for our soldiers because they monogramed them with KBR instead of supplying plain towels; or that KBR also supplied toxic water to our troops, not only drinking but also for bathing, washing laundry and dishes, etc. sickening many. And when they were asked they said they shouldn't be drinking water in Iraq they should be drinking bottled... so they should shower in Evian? Laundry their clothing in Dasani? Why aren't they being prosecuted????? IS this caring about our troops?

EC - how about Blackwater? I mean what those guys have gotten away with is amazing...and they're paid thousands of dollars while our troops get a pittance.

Congratulations by the way!!!!!!

Mary! Thanks - my spawn is spawning... no Darwin awards here! LOL

Definitely Blackwater is guilty of horrendous crimes - they have a license to kill literally and without a 00 in front of their name too! Of course, all contractors have to sign ethics clauses in their contracts but there is an asterisk in them all saying "don't worry about Iraq and Afghanistan, they don't count in this" ...

What really gets to me is, taking the water as an example, there is proof, not only from the testing of the water but medically from the soldiers illnesses, and yet the Pentagon along with KBR says, not true!!! And then it gets swept under the main stream media rug :(. Where is ER Morrow when you need him??? Bring back Huntley and Brinkley! Dump these whimps! ARGH!

Mrs. B, I agree completely! Gender-based voting would get Hillary in. I've met and spoken with Hillary. She is an amazing woman.

Men are terrified that she will get in. They should be.

Hi Kelley, drop me an email!

There is some truth to the fact that if you don't get behind your own - your own won't get ahead. Men have been supporting men since the beginning of history because they're well aware of this fact.
