Happy Saint Patrick's Day Dear Friends

May your Guiness be cold, your corned-beef be tender, your cabbage be sweet, your whiskey be smooth and your day be filled with laughter and joy.

To my grandmother, who is no longer with us, Bridget Ann Conroy -- We'll all be wearing green in your honor!

Doc - I do think you're right...ick, can't stand warm beer, but the Brits and Celts seem to like it that way..

Lawbrat HI!! Hope you have a fun-filled night planned for this evening. BTW, my Irish Grandma is not THE Grandma whom I write about here...

Wecome Ailyn -- thanks for the good wishes. I'm going to our friends' house for dinner, Irish music, Irish Coffee and Irish Eclairs...which I'm making...it should be a good St Patty's day for me!

I was thinking the same thing Doc, but then I remembered that Guiness should only be warm if you're in Ireland, and then only in certain places (depending on your proximity to the nearest brewery).

Apparently the locals know that refridgeration (or the lack thereof) is such, that if you want good Guiness you go a mile up the road, while a good Harp is a mile down the road.

Sylow - I love my beer ice cold...and have a fridge in the basement that is used only for beverages - so the door stays closed and when you do pull out a beer or a soda...it's real cold...

I may be Irish, but I love my Stella Artois...

I don't have to tell YOU how special your son is...how happy we (blog word) are for him and Jody and you about the new baby.

It's almost 2 AM, yet I have the compulsion to come up here to the office to check on my blog world frends.

Linda...you made my day! Thank you for the kind wishes...It's now March 18th and I have totally lost my excuse to drink...ha!

Doc -- tonight we had cans of Guiness...with little cylinders of carbon dioxide? that fizz it up -- they were not icy cold, but just slightly lower than room temp...so I guess, we were beer pc...but may I expound upon the Irish Coffee...

French Press Coffee from freshly ground beans...
scoop of Ben and Jerry's Vanilla Ice Cream

jigger of Jamesons plus the overflow
Real whipped Cream..not from can
Drizzled green creme de menthe

Outrageously good

Kimananda, thank you it was fun..the next day was the problem ;-)

Doc - that is one good job indeed. I also saw a job advertised -- you had to drink Scotch..you had to go to bars and talk about how good your Scotch was...that's was it...I think it was Johnny Walker...a salary, and a buzz...nice.
