As you can see from this photo, Finbar is now the picture of health. Plump, you could even say, so his week of dieting hasn't hurt him at all.

He spends a lot of time on the table now that he's discovered the bird feeders. Cat TV at its best!

I have nothing interesting to say. Just trying to clean up the house and do laundry and other mundane chores.

I have a sore shoulder, don't know what I did to it, but it makes the process take much longer when you use one arm.

I dare not complain though as so many people live with so many disabilities that they can't recover from, and much worse ones than a sore shoulder.

I've picked out my Halloween cocktail and can't wait.

Take a martini glass and rub the rim with a slice of orange. Dip into orange colored sugar and set aside.

Then take 2 ounces of Kahlua; 2 ounces of Vodka; 1 ounce of Creme do Cacao; 1 ounce dark coffee; 1 ounce fresh orange juice. Shake over ice and pour.

Yummy and spooky!

Maybe you have photographer's shoulder... like tennis elbow!

I love this kitty. Damn cute.

I recently added some new cat pictures to my flickr account - Miles actually let me take pictures of him. For some strange reason, as soon as he sees the camera, he runs away. My updated cat picture set is found here.

Hope the shoulder feels better soon... if not, I am sure a few of those Halloween cocktails will help (you may want to get a head start, or at the very least, use that as your excuse to get an early start!).

JDJ hahahaha I love your wit!

I love your kitties...it looks like they have quite a life at your house. Now you are a great photographer. Every shot was a winner...I love the glowing eyes!!

Thanks for your sympathies on the shoulder...I'm babying it and it feels fine.

PG - Last year I made gimlets ( vodka and rose's lime juice) added more green food coloring and dropped in a black olive...should have drained the olive better as it was a bit too spooky looking!

MMMMMMMMMM AMK - I love baileys but never thought of mixing it with vodka but now I will!

What a cutie. He looks very snuggly. Oh yeah, the butt vee.

Gimlets, I have thought of that in years. I use to drink gin gimlets.
My head hurts just saying that. Hmmm. Guess there's a reason I don't drink hard liquor. Stellaaaa.
I had one last night while bbq-ing in the dark.
Hope your shoulder feels better, poor baby. I always feel bad for complaining too because there are people so much worse off but still, it hurts DAMMIT!
Take care,
xoxoxoxo

Dashababy, I knew what you meant. Gimlets are nice but pack a wallop, though most drinks do..

I love my Stellas too....shoulder is very good now so don't worry.

Cat is fat too and all is well!

I hope all is well with you too, and today is SHIT so tomorrow must be TGIF!!!!

BTW: I never noticed that Finbar has a little black mustache above his mouth!

Cute.

But I think Finbar will have much longer hair than Miles (who is 1/2 siamease).

Thanks for stopping by!

Bradley, has Sammy noticed your kitty yet? Wait till he gets that little hand in the fur...ooh la la...

I love your little boy!

JDJ -- someone near and dear to me described Finbar as having a Hitler mustache, I said oh no..it is not, it's a beauty mark hahaha. That black spot is funny...there's no reason for it being there.

Aha, Miles is part Siamese! Miles is gorgeous!

Poor deprived child.

Better yet...

Mix Baileys (80%) with Butter Ripple Schnapps (20%) - or to taste - and lots of crushed ice.

That is the Buttery Nipple.

And it is... delicious!

Thanks MiniJ!

Nate, it packs a wallop so be careful...make sure you have eaten a lot prior to inbibing!

LB - what can I say -- I've lived a sheltered life.

JDJ...sounds magnifico! I LOVE drink of the week or Holiday Drink or any special cocktain concoction...so this one goes into my repertoire for the future...I'd bet this would be so good when you have a sore throat...mmmmmmm
