The Love Which Has No Name

It takes forever to get anything done.

Like making my bed for example.

How can I disturb my two kitties who are sleeping peacefully amongst the rumpled blankets and sheets? Both boys are getting along quite well now as you can see from the photo.

I got Photoshop for xmas but it will take concentration to learn how to use it. I also got a Capresso coffee maker for which I need to go to school and get an advance degree in coffee making.

I also got two Lands End vests: one polartech and one down...blue and red respectively. I love them both and am now a fan of vest wearing. I have a nice warm fuzzy hoody which I can wear with my vest on top and I'm warm and comfy looking and partly cool too.

I got lots of great gifts and we had a very nice Christmas despite ourselves.

Tonight we're having dinner at Doc and DJ's house for a combined New Years/Xmas party of four.

I think the actual New Years Eve we'll plan a nice dinner with a nice bottle of champagne and stay home by the fire, reading books and listening to Yo Yo Ma.

Happy New Year to everyone and let's hope 2007 will see the end of the Iraq war and a movement toward peace on earth for all.

Thanks Nate...the same to you. We'll have to put our heads together later to iron out some of the photoshop challenges...I got the elements which isn't the whole program but I'm sure it has more features than I'll ever learn.

my computer can handle it but i just haven't had to time to really mess with it. :) My brother is a lot better at it than i am even though i've taken calsses. The problem with the classes is if you don't use the program much after wards and during then you forget how to do everything. :)

As for the cats - I get the problem with my dogs, though i'm "vicious" enough to displace them. :) Yours are just too darned cute though - let me tell you. Mine got spoiled while hubby was away this week so they keep trying to get up on the bed while we're in it. :) LOL

HAppy New year mary!!!

Happy New Year to one of my favourite people.

Photoshop is like any other complex program: no shortcuts. Open a picture, and start to play - it's actually a lot of fun seeing what you can do. Just don't save changes, then go back looking for the original. It ain't there, honey.

Those are two cute and cuddly kittens. I imagien they'll still fight amongst each other, though.

Happy New Year ILanna! They can get spoiled easily. But what fun to spoil them!!

Happy New Year Nilbo!!! You just happen to be one of my favorite people too and I hope the New Year brings you much happiness. xoxo

Thomas, they do fight, but it's mostly posturing and meowing and hissing...no claws or teeth! Happy New Year Thomas!

Happy New Year!

And like you, I hope 2007 brings more peace. I'm kinda freaked about Iran and Korea at the moment because no one in power seems to know how to diffuse the growing potential for nuclear attacks.

On the creative front, I am thinking about getting PhotoShop at some point. I just feel too busy to do all the things I'd like to do.

[ Nilbo's right, though. That's why I recommend ALWAYS saving a copy of every photo you edit or play with in any editing program. I just go to Save As and add a number _2 or _bw or _edit to the filename. ]

Sheryl, Happy New Year to you and thanks so much for the tip on saving photos without losing your original.

I am so anxious to play with my new program but I have told myself that until the office is cleaned up I am not to touch that program...I can see me spending full days playing around with it and not getting anything else done...just the camera alone has cut into my time...I do so love to play!
