Thoughts on Super Duper Stupendous Tuesday:

I wonder if Clinton lost CT because of the plethora of robo calls that annoys the crap out of people?

I was happy to see her win Mass and Cal. I think that tells people that celebrity endorsements don't affect the voter.

I haven't been this excited about an election in a long, long time.

Even though Obama says he is not the black candidate, blacks voted for him overwhelmingly. Women split their vote between Clinton and Obama and white men preferred Obama. (Maybe the white men are afraid their wives are going to run for president some day and they'll have to do all the household chores.)

I never like it when Obama acquires the cadence of Martin Luther King Jr. in his speeches. There was only one MLK jr. Sometimes I feel like he's at a Baptist revival meeting when he changes his natural speech to include the praise-the-lord type of quavery voice.

Clinton rushed through her speech, but she is not known as a super orator, though I think she's getting better.

McCain looked so happy he made me smile.

Romney, well when I look at him I think of him strapping his dog onto the top of his car in an open crate.

Hucka be gone!

What are your thoughts?

Well, like you, I think this election is SO exciting.

I think it's amazing that we live in a time where we can watch a black man and woman run for president.

I would be happy with either one. Each has their pluses and minuses, but both, I believe, can make a world of difference (literally).

My caucus is Saturday, so I will be there with bells on.

Although, my caveat is: if Hilary decides to make Bill Richardson her running mate (which has been rumored since Bill watched the big super bowl game at his house in NM, I may have to seriously consider voting republican. Richardson is no better than Bush. As someone who grew up in NM (and my entire family still lvies there), he has done nothing to help that state and has in fact made it much worse.

phew. Sorry about that.

Jeni...hey I love the fact that you know the inside scoop on Richardson. I just found him to sound um...no good way to put this, not too intelligent. I appreciate knowing the truth from someone who's had first hand experience with him.

Somehow I doubt very much he'd be the pick...but then again...one never knows. I wish they'd tell us now who they'd pick for veep.

I watched the coverage all night long...I am a political geek and loved it :)

My thoughts are that Mccain and Hillary are going to win...that is my speculation...and all the conservatives who are railing against Mccain for not being "conservative" enough will have a very good reason to vote for him...an anti Hillary vote...

This...I fear...is what will take place.

Mccain is a moderate...and i think if Obama wins the nomination he could bring independents and moderate Republicans with him...but if Hillary wins...I just don't see moderate republicans ever voting for Hillary.

Either way, I think the democrats will hold the house and senate majority...and that should make either scenario very interesting from a legislative standpoint :)

Bradley, except for Ann Coulter who says she's going to vote for Hillary if that happens.

I too am a political junkie and still have a political hangover from staying up so late Tuesday night.

I know one thing, except for Huckabee, I think any candidate will be better than Bush.

Greetings from Iraq. While I am a little to the left of Irina, I shared her support for Giuliani with McCain as a second choice (his son is an 18 year old Marine in Iraq, which gives him a certain integrity, plus he has another son as a Navy cadet), though I don't care for the fact that an America firster like Snowcroft will be a foreign policy advisor. Huckabee is a good guy, and did a lot of good for Arkansas, but I don't support him (plus he's not conservative where I am and is soft on crime, but he did reform Education in Arkansas in ways Bill Clinton found daring, plus he's as much a legacy of Bill Clinton as Hillary).

I don't care for Hillary (though I rank her higher than Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, Dick Durbin, and Cindy Sheehan). I plan to teach after my enlistment ends, and just in time if Hillary is elected.

I find Obama likeable and I like the irony if he's elected as the America's first black President would also be a descendant of Jefferson Davis.

I like that Romney was an investment banker who truned millions into multi-millions, but I dislike how he flip flopped on social issues (I much preferred the Romney who ran against Jabba the Hutt in 1994).

Another funny thing is that Obama did well in Idaho where he got 81% of all 30 Democrats there, plus he has been endorsed by many red state Democrats (the Mass endorsements is probably due to Obama being more a Raytheon man while Hillary as NY Senator would favor Lockheed Martin).

I see Richardson as a likely choice for Hillary as he is a friend of Bill and Obama may take too much of her spotlight.

I think a good running mate for Obama is an experienced but moderate Republican, like Chuck Hagel, Dick Lugar, or a Blue State GOP (or Red State Dem)Governor .

and now let us take a moment to reflect on Chris Dodd's presidential campaign and snicker :)

Guess what I found for you!?!?!?

www.stoppoliticalcalls.org

It's the National Political Do Not Contact Registry!

Candidates do not have to abide by the registry, but let's hope if they have any sense they do!

Thomas! How nice to hear from you and best wishes to you for a safe tour. Damn, I'll be waking up in the night worrying about you now!!

You have interesting and provocative thoughts on the election. From what I hear, a many people will be ok with voting for McCain as long as he doesn't pick up Huckabee as his veep.

Although I have to say, Huckabee's dimples are cute.

Stay safe friend...hugs to you

Jeni - you are an angel!!!! I didn't know one of these no call lists existed but I'm signing on as soon as I hit enter. Thank you so very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
