This is good news, though it would be better if enacted by the legislature, unless it was deferred to the courts.

Hi Sweet E! Yes they sure did and I'm so happy and proud of and for them. Get ready for a July wedding!

Thomas, I am gaining hope that I can live in a country where all people have equal rights...it's very important to me.

It depends on how the equal rights are achieved. I would prefer a conservative gradual approach by a legislature over a judiciary.

To me, it is a matter of individual liberty. Now if the courts approve same sex marriage as the right of two consenting legal adults (including an emancipated minor) engaging in a legal contract, that is the perfect judicial affirmation, and also defending capitalism, which we really need right now.

America is getting closer to equality. It will never be perfect, but closer. I know what was acceptable for my grandfather's time and what is acceptable today. Of course I wish we could bring back some of the fashion from that time.

The only equality I oppose is economic equality (and equality of outsome). I don't like the idea of looting those who earn more than me or being looted by those I earn more than.

On an unrelated note, I voted, but for Ron Paul and Barry Goldwater, Jr.

I can't vote for McCain, but Obama is still too liberal for me, but every vote for a Libertarian sends an important message that true conservatives are angry and will fight back.
