Normal Eating Must Return

I have had enough hotdogs.

And beans.

And potato salad.

I feel like I do after indulging myself in a Twilight Zone marathon or CSI marathon.

I will want more someday..but not for a while.

I have not, however, tired of Lemon Drop Martinis.

Melissa, I am so glad you liked them! Some people like a sprig of mint in them, but I am liking them mighty fine without the mint.

Here's another great drink

Lime Rickey

one lime squeezed,
one TB sugar (to taste)
one shot vodka
seltzer or club soda

stir juice sugar and vodka together in a glass. Fill tall glass with ice almost to the top. Add seltzer or club soda and garnish with fresh lime.

This one is great when you are dying of thirst.

My next new drink is going to be a pomegranite margarita...I'll be sure to let you know how that one tastes!

(ps I bought a Braun citrus juicer on Ebay for $6 and it makes the juicing part a cinch.)

Ok Mary enough of this food and drink suggestions. I'm very suggestible. I've eaten 3 hotdogs since you mentioned it on Friday! Now I'm gonna hafta go have me some lemon drops and that lime rickey sounds delicious!

Dashababy...I'm just like you...someone says they're having chicken ka bobs for example, for dinner...I have to have them. I always order my drinks and food last because otherwise I usually change it to something else...so I know that old power of suggestion.

AMK - they are really pretty and delicious drinks! Makes paying for the AC worthwhile...(I also have winter drinks that make paying for the heat worthwhile!)

I am particularly sick of potato salad.

And pork, period.

And June hasn't even begun! I'll never make it.

Ah yes Melissa, just take my hand and I will lead you through a wide variety of summer drinks that will test your control. (I love those lemon drop martinis so much, I have to put everything away..juicer, booze, cutting board etc. so I won't be tempted to make a second shaker full of them!)

Summer....We were going to a friend's house for a picnic and husband said to me: great, we can go because he doesn't serve picnic food at his picnics. He serves indoor food, outdoors." I found that hilarious and true. He's got an outdoor kitchen and his picnics never consist of potato salad or hotdogs...nice!
