Finbar look alike

This is not actually Finbar but he is almost identical to Finn except he doesn't have double paws.

I am the world's worst photographer and don't own a digital camera as a family member takes all our pictures for events....when she comes over I'll have her take a picture of the real Finbar and you will see how identical they look!

Life is busy here now. The older cat is terrified of the baby cat; the baby cat is terrified of the dogs who are terrified of the older cat.

I know they'll get used to each other soon, but in the mean time it's a tad chaotic here!!

I"m so glad you found a kitten. And a double paw - that's like 7 toed ones right? :) I've had a few friends with cats like that. :)

*HUUUGS* to you and the new and old family members

Whoa, I almost fell off my chair! A photo on your blog??? My eyes were not expecting all that color, what a shock.
Cute kitty witty and a lucky kitty at that.
Happy Monday Mary xoxoxox

Thanks Minijaxter...I do think he is the cat's meow!

Ilanna...thanks for the hugs --it's great to share happiness with friends. He's got an extra toe on each foot...which probably accounts for all the scratches on me! His little nails were like hyperdermic needles, so I clipped them and he's less lethal!

Dashababy -- I was never going to publish a picture and use just words instead to describe all things...but a kitten is too cute for words...He's a resuce cat, but the vet said he looked like a Maine Coon mix...we'll have to see how he develops.

Happy Monday to you Dashababy and hope your day's a good one.

My older cat, Corky, has been with me since she was like 5 weeks old (as her mother was run over by a car). So she was basically never around other animals for the first 5/6 years of her life.

(In fact, the only time she was ever outside was for her yearly visits to the vet!)

Then I got my younger cat, Miles, and brought him home. She freaked and ran scared of him. She has never hissed before that day, and spent the next 3-4 days on high furniture / counter tops / tables / etc...

Was damn funny.

What is funnier now - given she was the runt of the litter and now a little full-grown cat, while Miles is a monter, full of muscle - she still manages to beat the crap out of him all the time when he gets out of line.

We all live in harmony now...

PS: Congrats on the new family member!

Thanks Paintergirl -- maybe you guys are telling me I should ad more photos to my blog? Subtle hints? Ha ha.

You know, I wanted to be words only, but it is more fun to see a picture..isn't it? Especially a kitty picture!!

JDJ -- I needed to read your comment as it seems like it's going to take forever to get these animals all in harmony. I really didn't think the older cat who's so sweet and laid back would detest the new little one. Maybe there's hope. Maybe I should just leave them all in a room together and see who comes out on top?

I'm hoping that we can all be a family again...I guess 2 days isn't enough time for everyone to adjust, including me!

I cant see the picture!! You have a pic and I cant see it! Oye.

They will adjust, it just takes a bit of time. When we brought Leo in from outside, Mimi was furious. Wouldnt let us pet her, wouldnt sleep with us, and hissed and growled at Leo. It went on for about a week.

Now they play with each other, chase each other around, and sleep curled up together. The sleeping together took more time than the playing together. When Leo has went too far in playing, Mimi lets him know.

Lawbrat..oh my, being a computer dolt, I have no idea why you can't see the picture...I can see it, why can't you? We need help desk help!

Spike - Finbar has a big brother named Tripper and two big Goldens that he finds a bit intimidating.

We did have two breakthroughs this morning though: the dogs saw Finbar and didn't bark and Tripper and the kitten were in the same room together for about five minutes!!

Tripper? LOL! Love it. I had a german shepard once named Kilo.

SO CUTE.
I wish I could come over and take a portrait of your new baby.

Or maybe take a picture of the circular fearful Chain of Pets.

Oh! I see him now! What a cutie.

I think it was the OS I was using. I was on Phils Mac, and he runs OS X, and uses linux or ubuntu, not windows. I'm on a laptop now, and I booted in windows and not the other OS.

I only know this because i've been with a computer geek for 2 years and i've picked up a thing or two- the above would be one of the two.

The other- to 'power cycle' the machine really means to turn it off and then turn it back on.

Hi Dasha...tough having a newborn...now sleep at night, night is play time for new baby and I'm behind on posting and commenting...thanks for still loving me even if I'm just a frazzled new mother! ;-)

Sheryl, all I could think of was Paintergirl...I know she'd be able to do a rendering of the circle of fear...PG, if you read this...you know you could do it!!

Lawbrat you smarty girl, I'm getting the feeling that you feel better...I hope so with all my heart. I now know who to go to with my computer problems!

Nate, that's the comment of a genius who hasn't figured out he is one.

Your digital photographs are amazing, fresh, wondrous, creative and they explore boundaries of art and I love them...never denigrate your art my dear man!!!!
