Because I don't favor one of my furry children over the others, I must post some pictures of my dogs. They do not like having their picture taken. Notice the pointed heads and flat ears. Notice the look of disgust and disgrace at being told to STAY while I am sitting a few feet away pointing the black rectangle in their direction.

How and why they became so camera shy I do not know. But I wanted to give them blog time too.

Beau is the blond and Archie is the redhead.

(I originally made an oath that I would never use pictures on my blog and that words would be both my paintbrush and canvas. Then I posted the Finbar look alike picture and broke the spell so now I might just post pictures for a while as I was given a new camera and I'm trying to learn how to use it.)

You know they are thinking:

One of us has to get that damned camera and chew it up or she's going to be bugging us all day.

We never signed a model release; we don't like the flash and we hate to either sit or stay when told.

SOOOOO cute.. How old are they? I see some white in their faces and muzzles so i'm curious. Zoe has some white on her chin but she's only 2 so I think Mister made her prematurely grey. :) LOL

The latkes you mentioned sound lovely. I haven't made them in a while. THough i'm lazy _ i usually buy the fresh "grated potatos/hashbrowns" from the refrigerator section of the supermarket. :) i'm gonna have to make some soon. :) (and yes VERY unorthodox she is)

Hope yer feeling better! :)

Hi Ilanna! Beau is ten and Archie is 8 1/2. Most people think Beau is the youngest but he's got a good year on the Archmeister.

The latkes were fabulous if I do say so myself. Husband wonders why I don't make them more often...grated the potatoes and then wringing them out is a chore, that's why!

I'm not 100 percent, but most likely won't be until after the first hard frost!! Thanks for asking.

How about you? Still on an antibiotic?

Yup - and still coughing too... :) (damn monthly miracle that runs me down don't ya know. :))

And i actually thought beau was older but I know why others don't - in that pale blond coat, it's hard to see the white mask. They are SOOO adorable though. :) And as I said - for the latkes, buy them pregrated - it's the same thing, and save you a step or two.. :) just wring them out and you are good to go. :)

(and I can't wait for the first hard frost either :))

Ilanna, yup it's the fact that Beau's gray muzzle blends in so well with his platinum blond fur! I'll have to look into the pregrated potates as I love latkes but don't have them as often as I'd like due to the grating!!

Cripes, you're still sick AND on antibiotics!!!

Watch out for the coughing...suck on ice chips.

Dashababy!! How are you dear one? You can readily see they weren't meant to be in pictures. They hate the camera and act as if I'm pointing a Glock 9 millimeter at them!!

Model release...they are so funny. Life would be really dull without animals in the house, wouldn't it? Your boys look very lovable and are probably lap dogs aren't they? I'm still cracking up over the pictures, they look so digusted.

PG - I don't know what I'd do with all my free time if I didn't have animals. Best part is those unexpected antics that make you laugh outloud.

These big hunks of dog hate the outdoors, only go out to squirt and dump as husband calls it, then they're right back in the middle of things. They take up half the floor space of my small cape!!

Marko...they do have some odd expressions. When the ears are flat and the head gets pointier than usual, I know they're not happy!

My dear Sheryl, how can I disappoint you so --to let it be known...I can hardly upload a photo form Kodak Easy Share never mind figure out how to do Flickr???

I have a new CD player that I can't use to it's full potential and about ten other things I can't use well.

(Like the microwave.)

I am a Luddite forced into this world of high tech flash and dash...so I am going slowly into this good night.

To quote another poet, I have promises to keep...and not enough time on this earth to read, see, taste, hear all that this bountiful world has available to me.

Yes, I had wine and that's why words flow from my mind through my fingertips to give you this long, silly response.

But you love me anyhow...!
