Cheers and Choppers!

I do adore my dentist Dr. Ed Kozinn and he deserves ink or bytes for being one of the most competent, compassionate, pain-free, kind and caring dentists in the world.

Without the aid of a psychiatrist, I have conquered my phobia about dental work and go routinely now without even a single palpitation or sweat bead on my forehead.

I wish I could clone him and turn the clones into a family physician, veterinarian and hair dresser, then my life would be complete.

Today was a very fun visit as husband had the nine o’clock appointment and I had a ten o’clock appointment. I make my appointments 3 months in advance and husband and I didn’t coordinate a family visit but it just worked out that way.

Seeing him at the dentist office wasn’t a surprise, but an out of context meeting with one’s spouse in a dentist’s office can be romantic. (I was in one chair, he was in another chair…) ;-)

Anyhow, all choppers are clean and shiny and even though I tell myself to eschew red wine, I won’t.

Apoyo Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma is a mighty fine and inexpensive red. We had it recently and thought we were drinking a $40 bottle so the 13 dollar price is a steal.

Cheers!

I feel your pain or rather, lack there of. :)

I have been going to the same dentist for a number of years, but i had a different hygienist until recently.

I thought L was pretty good, and she was working diligently to remove the stains and everything else. Then she left and they gave me to J. Well, J is a DREAM. fast and quick and thorough and PAINLESS!!! L always used to blame me for my gums bleeding. Funny thing that they don't bleed anymore. J confirmed that L was unnecessarily rough. And she doesn't understand what stains L was trying so hard to get rid of. Specially as I don't drink coffee, rarely tea, and no dark sodas.

as for the wine - sounds lovely (if i drank wine that is :) ) is it californian. If so, then i won't bother telling my mom about it. (She can't drink the california wines...)

Glad you are feeling better!

Ilanna, shhhhhhhhhh don't tell, I actually love one of the assistants (really all of them) at my dentist's office, but I'm used to him doing it now and he doesn't mind - so we're both okay with it and I don't want to change anything! stopping by now....

Iwish I lived in CT. I'd have to take a plane to go to your dentist. I need work so badly and no one I call cares about how scared I am. Your lucky...good for you to find someone.

Anon, don't give up the ship! I had totally given up believing I could find a dentist that would listen to my concerns and fears and respect my opinions.

I thought I'd just wait around until my teeth fell out, one by one...then I went to Dr. Kozinn's office and all my problems were solved by this kind and gentle soul.

Keep asking friends, family, anyone who they go to and don't be afraid to let the office know you are a phobic. It worked for me!
