SHIT*

I'm putting these pictures up of the front garden because in a week or so it will be a sea of yellow flowers. I'm showing you the vegetable garden because husband makes such a neat garden and we are already eating the lettuce and onions he's grown. The Finbar photos are to show you how he's grown and ask you if you think he has a pinhead. I do.

* So happy it's Thursday

Oh! He has the cute-ness!

Look how big he is!! Why do kittens have to turn into cats? Can't I just keep my two cats and have 1 kitten?

What else does Husband grow in his garden?

I'm so jealous you have a new kitty! I figured out the "foster" people get all the kittens and keep them until they're big cats, then adopt them out.

Anyhow, he grows radishes and carrots and tomatoes and basil and lettuce and pole beans. His garden is neater than the inside of the house, that's for sure!

i have the same question about puppies. :) I mean - i keep pictures of mister at 6.5 weeks old up at work cuz he's so darned cute then I go home and go "what happened?" LOL

Gorgeous garden - i'm too lazy to go down to the yard to set up a garden :) it's a flight of stairs down - i want to get stuff for my kitchen easily...so i still with herbs. :)

(hehe pin head. :) )

Mmm I love fresh veggies! Can't wait to get my own plot of land so I can live off of it. As for flowers, we don't get along very well. Constantly at arms. You know how it goes. Meh, someday I'll master that skill.

As for Finbar, he has an ittibitty head. Think its compensation for something else? o.O

Ilanna, if it were up to me, there'd be no garden...we have grocery stores a few minutes away, but husband enjoys growing things, where we run into trouble is when he wants me to harvest veggies or fruits...I hate it!

Nicole, you are an honest woman. I think he has an itty bitty head too - and I don't think there's much left after his neutering to compensate for it hahaha

mmm, I would love some of those carrots!

You know, he may have a tiny head, but are there brains there? Because Landon, well I love him, but he has none.

Jeni and Nicole, you would especially enjoy this: http://www.mr-lee-catcam.de/index.htm

They've attached a camera to their cat's collar and the photo shots are exactly what a cat sees...amazing.

Jeni, Landon has brains, silly. He snagged you for a mom didn't he?

Finbar, pinhead that he is, is smart. He bites on husband's fingers to wake him up (gentle bites) and will continue to bite his fingers after one can of Fancy Feast, if he wants more, if not, he stops the biting.

Mary - i don't grow vegetables generally. (though this year I do have green beans, carmen peppers, and habanero peppers growing. The beans bare b/c i'll buy green beans and i won't get to use them in time and they go bad. This way I can pick them when I"m ready for them. :) Mostly it's herbs. "need some cilantro?" go out on the deck. Basil, rosemary?? Got it fresh and ready - just waiting for me. . . :)

Look at that garden! How nice to have fresh lettuce. I think we need to go back to the time of having victory gardens, but we need a fresher 21st century name, because well what is there to be a victory of?
I love your cape cod and can't wait to see the flowers in bloom. Have a great weekend Mary!

Ilanna, I'm dying for an herb garden but so far we aren't sure where we have enough sun to plant one (away from the dogs too.) There is nothing like fresh herbs, this morning husband made simply scrambled eggs but he sprinkled slivers of green onion on them and wow, they were yummy!

PG - you are so right, victory gardens wouldn't work. How about melamine-free gardens or Bush-depression gardens? There's got to be a better name.

The lettuce we grow is called, I think, butter crunch and it's so sweet and delighful it's more like a confection than a veggie.

Once the rain stops, I'm going out to take more front garden pictures because already there's lots of yellow blooming flowers for which I have no name; they are common, easy to grow and like a weed in their ability to spread.

I like my little cape too, just wish it was a tad bigger...oh well, I'm happy to have a home and as the saying goes: A small home can hold as much happiness as a big one.
