Worst President Ever

The Bushes are out of control. Yesterday Laura Bush mispronounced hurricane Katrina’s name twice. And she is supposed to be the smart one of the bunch? Her claim to fame is she can read.

( We know she isn't a terrific driver: 17-year-old Laura ran a stop sign, causing the death of the occupant of the vehicle her car struck. Imagine if Hillary had done the same thing?)

But she is supposed to be able to speak. Yet she’s so disconnected to the event – she can’t even remember the name of the hurricane. Duh! This was not a slip of the tongue.

On national TV she said “hurricane Karina” twice, while she delivered familiar platitudes about the importance of education for the displaced New Orleans children.

The Bush women are placing their feet in their mouths on a daily basis and we wonder why the Prez is a nincompoop?

The “what the heck is the name of that bothersome storm” gaffe, made by the first lady, follows Mama Bush’s, statement that claimed poverty-stricken refugees were better off thanks to the hurricane.

Except for Fox news, whose sub title is: We love the Bushes no matter what…the rest of the world is shaking their heads in disbelief.

I have had it with Bush country and all the Bushes --it’s time that Bush comes to shove – shove off you illiterate, nasty, elitist fools.

If you can’t pronounce nuclear or Katrina you should just shut up until you can.

Don’t pretend you care about the poor - you don’t give a whit about anyone who isn’t white, rich and upper crust.

It’s we “liberals” who do care.

Your "compassionate conservatism" amounts to too little help too late. Mr Prez you are a skinny-hearted mo fo and your whole family is a bunch of dolts.

Now I’m going shopping for one of those “Worst President Ever” tee shirts.

It is sad that so many people have died due to this one man in office.

Get me one, too, will you? And while you're out would you mind picking up a new president? The one we have has gone rotten and we need a fresh one for dinner.

HI Weetzie and Echrai...I haven't posted in a while, trying to tame the flame of hate brewing in my heart, but day 11 of hurricane KaTrina clean up is getting me down. I just heard that dear old "Brownie" has been replaced. Was only a week ago the prez was telling him what a great job he was doing...

Sorry for the big fat rant but I have had it...!!!!

HI Summer, I've been in hiding, trying to keep myself from screeching on my blog...but here I go -- I really just can't stand it - from the supreme court to our horrendous air pollution problems to Katrina to the dominionists and all the other ists -- I'm currently searching for a home on a distant planet.

I'm glad to see that someone else sites that Laura killed someone while driving. She has that vacant look of someone medicated by something very strong. Either that or she's a complete idiot and that blank look is just that.

My husband insists on watching Fox news everynight and getting angry. It started with the election last year and now it's a nightly ritual. He also flips between others, but Fox is really delusional and it's scary how many people buy what they hear on that channel.

You know, the real scary part is not the fact that the Bush's are around today... it is the amount of time it will take to clean up this mess - especially if he funamantally shifts the supreme courts.

That will get ugly, and I cannot see how long it will take to fix that (let alone the wars and the enemies he made....).

Acumama - I also watch that damn channel just to see how low they can go...they never say a negative word about the Bushes...

Clinton was crucified by Ken Starr and the media..somehow Bush gets off scot free...makes me nuts....

JDJ - the supreme court is going to be stacked for the next 50? years by Bushies - hyper religious people who want a Christian nation rather than a melting pot of people with numerous religions, colors, etc.

As you point out, as bad as things are now...it's the future that chills the bone....

You are absolutly correct about your observation, they dont like any body other than the white skin, they despise the poor and have no end to their blah blahs.
Buy a tee shirt for me with mama bush smiling at me if you can get one.
She needs a coach before a speach.

I just hope the poor, the black brown and any other color than white, don't VOTE for a Bush ever again...or someone he endorses.

I'm sick to death of their lack of concern about other countries, our earth, our air, our people, our poor...in other words US and the land we live in.

The last time I recall Laura in the headlines, it was because she was making a joke about her husband giving a handjob to a horse. Seems like a consistant performance to me. I just wish it was that easy to remove them from the stage.

I try not to make public comments about other poeple's presidents, politics and stuff like that coz I live in a different country. When the Tsunami hit Asia last December, a lot of people were angry by the lack (or rather lateness) of help that came from the US. Understandable, we're talking about 3rd world and developing countries that probably didn't hold much political interest in the eye of the US government. But with the Katrina Hurricane, don't treat your own countrymen with the same 3rd degree. 4 days until help arrived!!! What's up with that?!!

I'm glad you posted this MB. You've said a lot of things that other people are thinking too. I hope you get a new President soon too.

I thought you would like reading these quotes. Read what Bush had to say.

JM - wasn't she just the funniest first lady ever??? How I love it when people say Laura is such a lady - I see no class in that woman just a head bobbing egit with a bad past.

Along - I believe in the philosophy that we are a global neighborhood with responsibilities to our own country and to other countries.

Bush et al are not smart enough or compassionate enough to think beyond their own noses and there is no leadership to take charge of bad situations.

Thanks for the link and please everyone who lives somewhere other than the United States, Bush was not elected by a landslide - there are many Americans who are totally embarrassed by the fact that he is "leading" our country. His approval ratings are lower than 40% and will be dipping even lower I predict.

For the Bush dynasty, I believe the jig is up.

I've always been stong in my political stance, but its been more than shaky lately. I'm angry that people that live in our country are treated like heathens. And then lady says they were very poor and they like this or are better with this(loosely quoted).
WTF? Trucks WAITING to go in with relief...water, food, medicine...had to WAIT until paper work was done??? Fuck the paperwork.
The blame game...who cares?? Quit pointing fingers at each other and get things taken care of.
Here's a thought, instead of buying expensive shoes on 5th avenue, DONATE THAT MONEY! I'm sorry I've taken up so much space here. Im just so irate about this.

Hey lawbrat - take all the space you want..if we don't rant I'm afraid we will all go raving mad.

For many of us, our country has let us down, let our environment down, let our fellow citizens of the world down and it's not a good feeling.

Now the 2nd amendment is being scoffed at and gun records are being scrutinized and soldiers are confiscating fire arms...the records tell them just where they can find them.

Reminiscent isn't it of Hitler's troops going into Poland, looking up who had the guns and disarming the country for an easy takeover...

Oh MB-my sentiments exactly! I can't take it anymore. Closer and closer I come to thinking we should just sell everything and move to the south of France.

The Bushes are the kings and queens of yore. Lots of inbreeding leads to stupidity, and having money makes it even worse.

Down with with the Bushes and off with their heads!! I think I'll make a t-shirt with that slogan.

Might cheer you up: I don't think that many people are buying Fox News anymore. Bush's approval ratings are down to 39%.

I'm thinking about taking the rest of the day off from the news. All this nonsense from the past five years has given me hypertension.

Paintergirl...south of France? I'm coming too...!

Marie..you deserve time off, but what you do, what you write is so important..please don't go for long!

Doc, it's late and I'm tired, but didn't Harding only fuck up for 2 or 3 years at best? He had the good sense to die.

The worst president ever has what, 3 more years after four years served? (I'm not good in math but you get my point...)

Ex: I can take my mother-in-law for a couple of hours, but geeze give me 12 hours of her and I'm going to be a crazy woman...

(She adores Bush because: he is a gentleman, he has brought a lady to the White House, he is doing so much good and people don't realize it, he's religious, he can't be worried about those people who don't want to work and who are mostly criminals. He saved all the good people)...read this as rich people.

I'll stick with worst president ever, Harding had bad folk in his camp..Dubya IS the bad folk.

(Cheney, alive or dead?)

Bush's dislike for the poor, those of skin colors other than his, is evident to me.

This is a perfect example of what the Bushes think of Afro Americans, blacks {word of the day} ( use the best most appropriate word here) people. Barbara said it, I paraphrase here, how lucky for *them* to be here in Texas. Fuck Texas.

I find that ranting makes me weary, makes me feel worse instead of better. Not your ranting, MB; my own. It's not my strong suit. I quoted a President today; I don't think he was a terrible one, but history isn't my strong suit either. Wilson; he said a lot of things that resonate with me.
We can still say whatever we feel like saying here, so we should surely exercise that freedom. Personally, I take a lot of comfort in my faith in the people of this country, in the constitution and in the structure of our government. These things together will right the situation over time, I believe. This is a season to pass through.

Dear Susie, I love you.

Tonight we spent time with two of the smartest minds I know...we talked about this beloved country, how we love it ==how we hurt...how much we care,,,

I am going to email them to read the comments on this subject - we all hurt and we don't know what the hell to do to stop the hurt....

This is a season to pass through. I love those words...thank you ...

And I say go read what Doc NOs wrote...chillingly beautiful...http://doctornos.blogspot.com/

I am so tired of caring so much, I just have to go to bed.

Hi, May! It's been a long time :D!
You won't believe, but I met a girl 2 months ago whose name was Katrina. It was really difficult for me to understand her name, and she had to re-pronounce it almost 7 times. In the end, she told me it was almost like Catherina, Caterine, or Caterina (in spanish) and then I knew.

I couldn't know how many times I was gonna hear this damn name in the following days... :(

Well, best wishes again

carlitosreina! Buenos Dios mi amigo de Blogger

Como esta usted? Your English is wonderful - are you still studying English?

I hope all is well with you. That is some story about your new friend's name. Katrina is a beautiful name and we cannot let that hurricane take that name and make it connected to something bad!

They should name hurricanes after evil people. Like Hurricane Hitler, Hurricane John Gacy Jr.
