Jonbenet Ramsey Case: Is it Solved?

I don’t think so. I just don’t think that John Mark Karr is the guy. They’d better have an incredible amount of evidence, and even then it just doesn’t seem to make sense.

If you recall, there was a long involved ransom note combined with a dead body in the same house. According to investigators, you never get both at the same place. Also, you never get a long-winded ransom note and you never get a ransom note written with a pen and pad that came from the home.

The ex-wife of the alleged killer says he was in Alabama, not Colorado during the Christmas holidays of 1996 when Jonbenet was found dead.

There are some loose ends here that I’d like to see sewn up as this case has bothered me for ten years now.

I hope that Karr is the killer but authorities are not disclosing enough evidence for me to suspend my doubt.

This is just such a strange story. I wonder, however, whether the person who killed her has also killed other people or has some kind of weird history. Maybe that would be helpful...

Irina, last I heard this Karr guy is saying he picked Jonbenet up from school and brought her into the basement...only this was Dec. 25th and there was no school!!!! Curiouser and curiouser.

Nate - I agree that this seems like a case that will never be solved..unless, of course they have some real forensic evidence etc. to prove that this guy was in Boulder, even though his exwife and brother say that it can't be.

The guy is a creep though and known pedophile...

Hey Nate, hope you had fun on your vacation!

It is very strange. My husband has said before the mom just never seemed truthful. And like nate said, it will never be over.

This seems just a little too strange for me... I do not think it is him.

Pg and JDJ - what gets me is people always willing to believe with their hearts and souls what some TV reporter says. It could be him...anything's possible, but he more fits the profile of a sex offender obsessed with a murder of a child...and it doesn't help that his ex wife and brother say he never was home on Christmas day in 1996.

The plot thickens, the cream curdles.

Curiouser and curiouser, for sure. I dont think it was this guy. I saw it on the news this morning and just about spit out my coffee at the craziness of it. Come on- its just nuts.

Lawbrat - I think we have another rush to judgment...it seems like the news outlets are wagging the dog lately.

That made me laugh!

In undergrad, one of my professors wrote a piece called: The Tail that Wags the Dog.

LOL!

I agree- he did it, that is all. The media does not tell it like it really is on many levels. Or, they bypass the details that really matter, just give the conclusion.

If you look at the news reports now and compare them with last night - boy are they backpeddling!

Lawbrat, you left a double comment...rather Blogger did it...so I dumped the duplicate.

I like to make that clear because I would never ever dump a comment here...doesn't matter what anyone says...I'm all for freedom of speech and I don't like the trend of new bloggers who decide what they want on their blog...I say make it a free for all.

I love everyone's opinion and wouldn't take one away just because I don't agree.

I'd rather debate till the sun comes up!

I think this was the guy. I think he drugged her, had sex with her and then tried to make it look like someone else had broken in and beaten her. I think he beat and strangled her after she was dead. I think she died of a drug overdoes. Even if this isn't the guy, he's guilty of being a creep. What the fuck is up with men raping children? I don't believe in the death penalty but goddamn, if child molestors don't push me towards considering it.

Child molesters are the worst of the worst. I'd rather they went to prison where other prisoners usually take care of them in a not-so-nice way.

Mary,
If this isn't the guy who killed he sure is a creepy fucker, pardone my french but the way he stares down the camera, I swear he musta been taking lessons on how to look like a serial killer.
If there are any others that he molested I'm sure they will come outta the woodwork. I hope anyway, shed some more light on this awful scenario.
