When I'm not looking at the computer screen, I'm often looking out my kitchen window.

I never realized how messy it was until I took a photograph. Now I'm using my camera as a way to find the ugly spots in my house.

I need to wash those windows! I think it's time to rewallpaper too. What a bunch of ugly plants, though I've known this for a while.

The scraggly thing in the red pail to the right of the photo holds the remains of Uncle Mort. Uncle Mort is about 85 years old and I can't kill him even though he's just a few sprigs of green. U_G_L_Y. (He was given to a relative shortly before the giver drowned at a young age and that relative and now his children have kept the plant going to honor poor Mort. Somehow I also got a piece of Mort which I now must watch over.)

On the left: the brown thing hanging is onions I picked from the garden and braided...pretty homely.

Also the big pot on the left holds some waning. chartreuse parsley. (Hate the pot.) Next to that are the violet twins named Vivian One and Vivian Two -- both barely holding on to their tenuous health. Any red blossoms you see are fake.

I am going to tackle this window and its contents soon.

I never realized how god-awful ugly it looked until I froze it in time and uploaded it to the computer.

I think your window is perfectly lovely. Of course, I can't keep any house plant alive, so I'm pretty distracted and impressed by your greenery.

Michelle, aren't you sweet to like my window!! It has potential but it needs work as does the rest of my house. Sometimes I just don't see what the camera sees. I'm not sure if the new camera is a blessing or a curse!!

Mini -- I hate to throw out anything that's living...I may forget on purpose to water something...but I just can't throw it out if it's still growing.

Hi MB!

First of all, let me tell you that the comment you left on Bradley's Blog, concerning the photo of his hand and Sammy's, is just eloquent. You have such a way with words.....and what you said is so very true!!! Thanks for the wisdom you impart!!

Secondly, I don't think your plants look all that bad.....but if you need plant advice, turn to Bradley. He has become a plant afficionado, second to none. His plant collection is just gorgeous! (Sadly, he lost three lovely ones that were outside last week, and were turned into smithereens during a horrible storm we had!)

Your dog photos are so cute..looks like you have quite a group there!!!

Have a wonderful day!!

Love,
Linda

I too think your windo is very nice. This is fun, a little snippet of your world. Very nice.

Linda, thank you for you kind words...that photo elicits such a powerful emotion in the viewer. He must frame it..make him do that!!

The plants are not beauties, but I can't seem to dump them...

I do have a menagerie now...I must need all these animals for some reason...I wanted to be a vet once, -- maybe that's why.

Dashababy, since I have my new camera you'll be seeing more snippets to come!
