Well at least when I look at this picture I can say: too much clutter on the mantle instead of: god I have to wash those walls!

Usually I anticipate Halloween like others do Christmas or Hannuka...but this year for some reason I don't have the same feeling. I usually have a Halloween party, but not this year because I'm feeling that the world we live in is spooky enough for me.

Speaking with a friend, we decided that this malaise, and low-level depression we've both been feeling can be directly linked to having Bush in the White House and watching our country die, little piece by little piece.

Lucky for me though, Finbar and his antics delight me -- I knew there was a reason why I had to get a kitten.

How many more days does he have in office?

Mary - go here: http://www.backwardsbush.com/

that's where the official days in office countdown clock is. :) There is also a calendar out this year that counts it down through out 2007.

As for the holidays...yeah I kind of want to do something for halloween but not sure what and there's always so much else going on. Not this year I guess. Though i will probably put out candy for the trick or treaters. Last year I did it with the dogs, but zoe was being *SO* protective of mister, who was only 7 weeks old, that she kept scaring all the kids away... Oh well..

How cute that Zoe was protecting Mister...I don't think my dogs or my older cat has one ounce of paternal feelings in them. They all just hate Finbar and that's how it goes around here.

I love the countdown, made me feel better instantly. Thanks Ilanna!
